Background: SSVEP signals are usable in BCI systems (Brain-Computer interface) in order to make the paralysis movement more comfortable via his Wheelchair. Methods: In this study, we extracted The SSVEP from EEG signals, next we attained the features from it then we ranked them to obtain the best features among all feature and at the end we applied the selected features to classify them. We want to show the degree of accuracy we applied in this work. Results: In this study Bayes (applied for classifying of selected features) got the highest level of accuracy (83.32%) with t-test method, until the SVM took the next place of having the highest accuracy to itself with t-test method (79.62%). In the next place according to the feature selection method, decision tree took the next place with Bayes classification (79.13%) and then with SVM classification (78.70%).Conclusion: Bays obtained the better results to itself rather than SVM with t-test

Effects of aspirin on teratogenic characteristic of alcohol in limb morphoyenesis of mouse embryo

Abnormalities caused by alcohol are very extensive and are called fetal alcoholic syndrome (FAS). There are some hypotheses about pathological mechanisms of alcohol. Based on one of the recent hypotheses, alcohol consumption can change maternal and fetal prostaglandin levels. On the other hand aspirin is a strong prostaglandin inhibitor and there are reports showing that simultaneous administration of alcohol and aspirin decreased the limbs and kidney abnormalities in mice offsprings. Others showed that aspirin had no inhibition on alcohol adverse effects. The aim of this study was to determine the effects of aspirin on teratogenic characteristic of alcohol in limb morphogenesis of mouse embryo 135 male and female mice (1 male for 3 females) were randomly divided into 5 groups. After vaginal plaque observation on the 8th day of gestation, controls received nothing while other groups received physiological serum, alcohol, aspirin and a combination of alcohol and aspirin respectively by intraperitoneal injection. On the 18th day of gestation animals were killed by cervical dislocation and embryos were observed for anomalies of the upper and lower limbs. Our results showed that limbs had lower height and weight and more anomalies in alcohol and aspirin group compared to the alcohol alone group. Thus administration of aspirin with alcohol does not decrease the rate of limb abnormalities and factors other than prostaglandin might involve in limb abnormalities

Introduction: The present research is a resource-based retrospective study with reference to conducted studies and the results of the cinnamon study by referring to various foods and attaries (groceries) factories such as Golha, Bartar, Yekoyek, and Hati Kara companies in Iran has been answered to the questions related to probable toxicity of cinnamon. Methods and results: In this study, which is both a research and library study for this research topic, referring to sites, articles, journals, and various search engines including Science Direct and Google Scholar and SCOPUS, provide necessary information in regard to cinnamon types, cinnamon history, Cinnamon advantages and disadvantages, types of cinnamon ingredients, were found to be the cause of the toxicity of the probable types of cinnamon, and the results obtained that were related to the subject. According to the obtained data, it was found that cinnamomum zeylanicum bloom (Cinnamomum verum J. Presl) is less common (0-486 mg/kg) and (190 mg/kg)  also it is known as a good cinnamon for cinnamon cassia (Chinese) (Cinnamomum aromaticum Nees or Cinnamomum cassia (L) J. Presl) (coumarin is between 40 and 12180 mg / kg in the sample) and 700 mg/kg, and in Iran, abundance, import and use of cinnamon zeylanicum (Ceylon) is more than the other. Conclusions: According to obtain results, it was not proved camarin hepatic toxicity among the whole population and highest sensitivity was observed among people with previous hepatic disease, its daily use (permissible use on a daily basis is 1.5 mg/kg). With regard to this fact that in Iran, cinnamon as is used a flavoring of food and medicine, and the frequency of more Indian cinnamon (Ceylon , zeylanicum) than other cats in market due to higher quality. It can be concluded that with the max daily usage is (for a person body weight 60 kg) 1.5 mg of comarin per day, humans may be exposed to its complications, and that in Iran cinnamon species, which is most commonly used for cinnamomum zeylanicum cinnamon food, medicine (diabetes, etc.) and in various industries, and that it is not possible to enter this amount of comarin per day through the use of cinnamon to the body, it can be said that Iran is not exposed to the (probable) toxicside effects

Coexistence of Atrioventricular Nodal Reentrant Tachycardia and Idiopathic Left Ventricular Outflow-Tract Tachycardia

Double tachycardia is a relatively rare condition. We describe a 21 year old woman with history of frequent palpitations. In one of these episodes, she had wide complex tachycardia with right bundle branch and inferior axis morphology. A typical atrioventricular nodal tachycardia was induced during electrophysiologic study, aimed at induction of clinically documented tachycardia. Initially no ventricular tachycardia was inducible. After successful ablation of slow pathway, a wide complex tachycardia was induced by programmed stimulation from right ventricular outflow tract. Mapping localized the focus of tachycardia in left ventricular outflow tract and successfully ablated via retrograde aortic approach. During 7 month's follow-up, she has been symptom free with no recurrence. This work describes successful ablation of rare combination of typical atrioventricular nodal tachycardia and left ventricular outflow tract tachycardia in the same patient during one session

Objective: Electroporation can be a highly efficient method for introducing the foreign genetic materials into the targeted cells for transient and/or permanent genetic modification. Considering the application of this technique as a very efficient method for drug, oligonucleotide, antibody and plasmid delivery for clinical applications and production of transgenic animals, the present study aimed to optimize the transfection efficiency of sheep testicular cells including spermatogonial stem cells (SSCs) via electroporation. Materials and Methods: This study is an experimental research conducted in Biotechnology Research Center (Avicenna Research Institute, Tehran, Iran) from September 2013 to March 2014. Following isolation and propagation of one-month lamb testicular cells (SSCs and somatic testicular cells including; Sertoli, Leydig, and myoid cells), the effect of different electroporation parameters including total voltages (280, 320, and 350 V), burst durations (10, 8, and 5 milliseconds), burst modes (single or double) and addition of dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) were evaluated on transfection efficiency, viability rate and mean fluorescent intensity (MFI) of sheep testicular cells. Results: The most transfection effciency was obtained in 320 V/8 milliseconds/single burst group in transduction medium with and without DMSO. There was a signifcantly inverse correlation between transfection effciency with application of both following parameters: addition of DMSO and double burst. After transfection, the highest and lowest viability rates of testicular cells were demonstrated in 320 V/8 milliseconds with transduction medium without DMSO and 350 V/5 milliseconds in medium containing DMSO. Addition of DMSO to transduction medium in all groups signifcantly decreased the viability rate. The comparison of gene expression indicated that Sertoli and SSCs had the most?uorescence intensity in 320 V/double burst/DMSO positive. However, myoid and Leydig cells showed the maximum expression in 320 V/single burst and/or 350 V/double burst/DMSO positive. Conclusion: We optimized the electroporation method for transfection of sheep testicular cells and recommended the application of 320 V/8 milliseconds/single pulse/DMSO negative for transduction of plasmid vector into these cells. Among testicular cells, the most external gene expression was demonstrated in SSC population

Introduction: Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is considered as a major cause of lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) in older men and its most common sign is nocturia. Objectives: This study aimed to determine the effect of the seeds of Peganum harmala compared with tamsulosin on alleviating urinary symptoms in patients with BPH. Patients and Methods: In this single blind clinical trial study, 90 patients diagnosed with BPH and LUTS, based on international prostate standard survey (IPSS) were divided into three groups. The first group was received oral capsule of P. harmala, the second group was administered tamsulosin with oral P. harmala seed and the third group was received tamsulosin drug and they were evaluated after 4 weeks. Results: The results showed that the difference between mean scores of IPSS was significant after the intervention (P=0.001). Besides, the mean of IPSS in the three groups was significantly different (P=0.001) (the first group 41.9±5.3, the second group 21.0±4.4 ,the third group 16.5±3.7 respectively). However, after the intervention, patients in the second group had the lowest average on most indicators of IPSS but the difference was only significant about urinary frequency, nocturia and intermittency(P<0.05). Conclusion: Application of Peganum harmala seed can be useful in reducing urinary symptoms in patients with BPH
